A Merry Merthyr Christmas!
Are you ready for Christmas?
It was great to see such a great turn out for the lights switch-on and craft fair here last month. We have another craft fair on Saturday 6th – and there will be a skating rink outside on Penderyn Square that day too! Then in the evening fab ELO Tribute band Explosive Light Orchestra are playing so it looks set to be a very good day here at REDHOUSE.
If you’ve visited us recently you will have noticed that our Christmas decorations are up and looking pretty splendid. We’ve noticed quite a few of you taking a picture of yourself with our Christmas tree – this is fantastic and if you’d like to tweet us your REDHOUSE tree selfies we’ll try and retweet them.
The Performing Arts students based here are getting into rehearsals for their upcoming production of The Tempest, which will be here in February. The show will put a new slant on Shakespeare’s classic, bringing the story into the digital age as Prospero’s traditional wooden stick is replaced by a memory stick and the modern magic of technology plays a key role. Tickets are now on sale – take a look at our Events page for more details.
Today we welcome back The Siren Sisters to REDHOUSE. Following their successful shows here in the summer they are back with their Christmas show – expect some jingling sleigh bells and all round festive cheer!
Hope to see you soon!BACK TO BLOG
