Attitude Festival

Saturday 9th May will be the day when the centre of Merthyr Tydfil will come alive with the sights and sounds of a brand new multi-art-form festival encompassing exclusive performances in Wales, opportunities to try out making theatre and NIA; insights into what makes a Nashville Song Doctor and one of the 20th Century’s greatest plays “An Inspector Calls.”

Attitude Festival/Gwyl Agwedd is a one day event that brings the whole of Merthyr together. The event sees Redhouse, Age Cymru, Head 4 Arts, Merthyr Tydfil CBC Arts & Libraries and Theatr Soar all working in partnership to deliver a full day of entertainment and fun.

2pm – J.B. Priestley’s ‘An Inspector Calls’ – Presented by Tin Shed Theatre (Blue)

4.15pm – Tin Shed Theatre Q&A – A director’s insight into ‘An Inspector Calls’ (Blue)

7pm – Peggy Seeger – 80th Birthday UK Tour (Only date in Wales) (Pink)

10am – Terry Chinn – Make THE SINGING RINGING TREE (All day) (Orange)

11am – Railroad Bill – Skiffle Performance (Orange)

1pm – DnA – Performance (Orange)

TICKETING FOR THE EVENT

Redhouse is issuing three different coloured wristbands. The wristband colours ORANGE, BLUE and PINK.

Due to availability, a number of free events require a wristband. These events include Fiona Winter – NIA, the Circus Skills, Silent Disco, Adventures in Theatre Making and June Watkins – How I became a playwright – This wristband is ORANGE.

The second wristband is BLUE. This wristband costs £5 and gives access to the same as the orange wristband in addition to ‘An Inspector Calls’ performance (THIS SHOW HAS VERY LIMITED SPACES LEFT – PURCHASING A WRISTBAND DOESN’T GUARANTEE ADMITTANCE – CALL 01685 384111 FOR MORE INFORMATION).

The BLUE wristband also allows access to Directors Insight, Tan Dance, DnA Talk, Song-writing with Clive Gregson and Railroad Bill Interview.

The third wristband is PINK and gives access to the same and orange and blue in addition to the Peggy Seeger performance and the first 15 purchasers get a free ticket to NTW’s Mother Courage on 8th May in Merthyr Labour Club.
