When:  Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th January 2018.

Time: 10am – 3pm

For budding Spielberg’s, Cameron’s, Nolan’s and Abraham’s. Using Ipad’s to film and Imovie to edit you will learn the craft of filmmaking – from script to screen. Learn how to Write, Direct, Perform, Edit and finally upload your masterpiece on to YouTube. Working in a small group to explore your imagination and creativity and begin your journey to Hollywood, where ultimately you will direct the biggest stars in the world on your billion dollar blockbuster.

Felt Making and Natural Dyes with artist Claire Cawtewww.clairecawtetextiles.co.uk

When: Saturday 24th February and Sunday 25th February.

Time: 10am – 3pm

Use felt making and plant dye to make anything from a vessel, bag, hat,

sculpture, textile art piece that can be enhanced with colour through dyes or

pattern printing. Learn how to use natural pigments and how to extract colour to

make natural dyes and liquids. Use a variety of techniques from pattern dyeing, block colour and printing process, using immerse dye, solar dye and Eco-print methods.

When: Saturday 24th March and Sunday 25th March.

Time: 10am – 3pm

As a group, we will discuss the work of artists Heather Eastes, Sara Philpot and Helen Higgins. We will compare the different styles of paintings, materials and investigate figurative sculpture to generate ideas and identify themes of the three artists. Individually, you will explore, select and record what interests you about each artist using a variety of materials, techniques and tools. Through a selection process, you will design and create a clay vessel using hand building and decorating techniques with a variety of tools and ceramic materials.

Examples and demonstrations will be provided throughout the two days.
