With over 10 years of gigging across the UK, Europe and USA, London Calling are as dynamic now as they ever have been. On Feb 3rd, you can sample the punk spirit at Redhouse, Merthyr for one glorious night celebrating the music of The Clash.

Ages: 14+

Tickets: £8 advanced / £10 on the door

London Calling are:
Reg Shaw (Joe Strummer),
Dave Devonald (Mick Jones),
Joe Guatieri (Paul Simonon) and
Shane Tremlin (Topper Headon).

London Calling was formed in 2004 as a one-off gig for charity and to celebrate the life of Joe Strummer. After playing the short (12) song set they were asked to play the whole set again, with half the audience joining them on the tiny stage. They decided to sharpen their act and play regularly from that point.

London Calling have played in the USA and Europe and been in the Julien Temple directed Joe Strummer film biog, The Future is Unwritten.

Recently they have enjoyed rave reviews and have been playing to increasingly bigger audiences across the UK.

While at Redhouse, why not also make time to see the Punk Forever exhibition, featuring some of the original artwork associated with the first wave of Punk, including the Sex Pistols and The Clash. In addition, on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th ONLY, there will be a special ‘Panic Room’ exhibition as part of Punk Forever show, featuring more explicit work. Due to explicit content, the ‘Panic Room’ element is for ADULTS ONLY.
