PAMA INTERNATIONAL – The Altruistic Soul Sounds of…

Following up on their critically acclaimed **** Mojo album Love & Austerity and hugely successful Trojan Records songbook tour, Pama Int’l return with their much touted soul album – “The Altruistic Soul sounds of…”

The album draws on songwriter/founder Sean Flowerdew’s love of Northern, British and Southern Soul. From Muscle Shoals to the Tyne it boasts influences of Al Green, Duane Allman, Aretha, Betty Swann, Irma Thomas, Joe Cocker, Eric Burdon and Booker T & The MGs, but in true Pama Int’l fashion the album sounds uniquely them. A series of 4 singles are planned for monthly releases from September.  The first single will be launched at the Toots & The Maytals show at Alexandra Palace on 8th September’18. The ‘Altruistic Soul Sounds of Pama International’ album will follow in January with a full UK tour. Since their formation in 2001 Pama Int’l have released 10 studio albums and recorded 4 BBC Radio One Maida Vale sessions.  In 2006 they became the first new band to sign to Trojan Records in 30 years.  The collective nature of the band has seen them work with; Billy Bragg, Ken Boothe, Rico, Derrick Morgan, Dawn Penn, Dave & Ansel Collins, Dennis Alcapone, Wrongtom, and Mad Professor, whilst their line up has attracted members from The Specials, Madness, Galliano, Steel Pulse, and the Style Council.
