Trustees Required
The Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Trust (MTLT) is a recently established Non Profit Distributing Organisation (Charitable Trust) which operates Sport, Leisure, Arts and Cultural facilities and services across Merthyr Tydfil. The Trust is now seeking to attract new Trustees to the existing Board.

The MTLT currently operates a range of Leisure and Cultural facilities on behalf of MTCBC, including:

Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Services:
Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Centre
Aberfan and Merthyr Vale Community Centre
Treharris Community Centre
Gurnos Community Centre
Cae Mari Dwn ATP
Pen-Y-Dre ATP
Grove Field ATP
National Exercise Referral Programme (NERS)

Merthyr Central Library
Dowlais Library
Treharris Library
Aberfan and Merthyr Vale Community Library

Cultural Sites:
Cyfarthfa Park
Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and Art Gallery
Joseph Parry’s Cottage
The Trust also manages the iconic Redhouse or Old Town Hall.

A Trustee is required who has a passion for leisure and culture and can bring a range of specific skills and expertise to support the new organisation.

You should either live, work or have strong links with Merthyr Tydfil and be prepared to act in a voluntary capacity for this exciting new venture. If you have been a Councillor in the last 4 years, you are not eligible to apply.
